Research Abstract

ウキクサやヨシなどの水生植物とその根圏微生物の共生系では、ビスフェノールAやブチルフェノールなどの内分泌撹乱化学物質の分解が促進されることが明らかとなった。また、内分泌撹乱化学物質を効率的に分解する微生物が根圏に多く棲息し、水生植物がそれらの内分泌撹乱化学物質分解を促進していることも明らかとなった。本研究の成果は、水生植物とその根圏微生物を用いることで、水環境の内分泌撹乱化学物質汚染を効率的に浄化することができる可能性を示したものといえる。
