Research Abstract

津波予警報に資することを目的として、沖合リアルタイム観測システムで観測された津波に対して、その観測データを精査して知見を整理した。その結果、津波波源近傍の水圧計は地震動の高周波成分の影響を強く受けるために、地殻変動成分の分離は困難であるが、津波発生時に卓越する音響波は明瞭に分離できる。この音響波の振幅はマグニチュード依存性があり、津波発生時には地震動に起因する水圧変動よりも卓越するので、水深で一義的に決まる周波数に注目して水圧変動を監視すれば、津波の早期検知に利用できる。一方、遠地津波に対しては、地震動の影響を受けるもののローパスフィルターによる数値処理で津波成分を分離できる。
