Research Abstract

放線菌が生産する抗菌性物質FR-900848は他に類例のない特異なポリシクロプロパン構造を有する。この化合物が生産されるメカニズムの鍵となる中間体および骨格形成の時期について、初めて実験的証拠を得た。また、FR-900848の生産に関与する酵素遺伝子の探索を行い、遺伝子取得に向けた基盤を構築して新奇遺伝子発見への道を開いた。
