Research Abstract	世阿弥の能学論を読み解いた結果、その根幹をなす思想、すなわち「花」とは「根源なるものの力(世阿弥の用語では「妙」)を、絶えざる自己否定を通じて宿し得た、演者の心とわざの総体」を射すのだ、という結論に至った。また、絶えざる自己否定という形での「自己変容」が、多くの謡曲の中で、シテの変容という形で示されていることを、作品論の中で示し、従来等閑視されてきた能楽論と謡曲論との有機的連関を明らかにした。
