| Research Abstract |
In Japan, it is thought that listening skills play an important role in social adjustment. But most of the studies regarding listening skills have been conducted in counseling or English education settings, and they have been scarcely examined in the context of social adjustment. Analysis revealed that Listening Skills Scale had eight sub-scales (creating a comfortable atmosphere, empathy, advice, understanding facial expression, interests, eye contact, attending, and genuineness). Subscales had relation to friendship satisfaction and positive attitude toward peers.
