Research Abstract

視床下部で合成されるオレキシンが、脳内報酬系の働きに与える効果を検討した。脳内報酬系は、薬物依存のみならず、食行動の異常などにも関与していると考えられている部位である。実験の結果、腹側被蓋野に投与したオレキシンは、コルチコトロピン放出因子(CRF)含有ニューロンの活動を増大させることで脳内自己刺激の閾値を上昇させることが示唆された。この結果は、薬物依存などの行動の形成過程にオレキシンやCRFが関与している可能性を示している。
