Research Abstract

本研究では,文化的実践としての保育活動に注目し,日本の保育実践に特徴的にみられる保育者の促進的支援との関連で幼児の数量発達を捉えることを目的とした。幼稚園年長クラス(5歳児)における保育活動の観察,保育者への質問紙,幼児の数量能力評価で得られたデータの分析から,日本の保育者は,3, 4 歳児だけでなく(Sakakibara, 2008),就学を控えた5 歳児についても,体系だった指導に頼らない形で数量発達を効果的に促していることが示された。
