Research Abstract

先行研究の整理を行い、進路選択の一部としてではなく、成人期への「軌道」を形成するものとして職業選択を位置づけなおした。職業の選好や「働くこと」に対するイメージと、社会構造との関係について、中学生が望ましいと思う職業の序列が、おとなが望ましいと思う職業の序列とは異なっていること、性別や居住地域、家庭の教育的環境等の影響を受けていることが明らかになった。
また、中学生の職場体験について、中学生の家族や地域に対する意識が事前と事後でどのように変わったかを分析したところ、数値の上下として測られる変化だけではなく、事前と事後における「働く」ことや「働く人」に対する認識の構造が変化していた。さらに、女子の進路分化研究はこれまでメリトクラティックな選抜原理を持つ学校を差異化の装置として批判してきたが、学校の選抜と配分機能の弱まりと台頭してきたペアレントクラシー、キャリア教育の導入といった事柄は、従来のジェンダー研究に新たな課題を突きつけている。
