Research Abstract

ムスリム学生対象の礼拝用施設設備や学食でのハラールフード提供等について, オーストラリアと日本の大学の現状を調査した。その結果, オーストラリアではほとんどの大学にムスリム専用礼拝施設があり, 宗教関連学生サービスが拡充, 一般化してきていることが明らかになった。日本でもムスリム留学生の在籍が多い国立大学を中心に, 大学施設の礼拝目的での利用や, 学食でのハラールフード提供事例が増加傾向にあることが確認されたが, 一方, 宗教に関わる学生サービスの提供には抵抗感が強いことも明らかになった。
