Research Abstract |
Experiments on drying fracture in granular paste revealed that crack growth is dynamic fracture with dying rate dependence. Theoretical analysis indicated that competition between crack growth and plastic relaxation can cause such dependence. The studies on columnar joints of starch paste and an invasion percolation model with fracture processes were also reported.
