Research Abstract

海洋研究開発機構が開発したJCOPE海洋変動予測システムによって得られた同化データ、衛星海面高度計データと漂流ブイデータを組み合わせて作成した海表面流速データ、海上保安庁が作成し海洋情報研究センターが数値化した黒潮流軸位置データ、日本海洋データセンターが収集し海洋情報研究センターが品質管理を行った各層観測データ、の全てを解析した結果、研究代表者が数値シミュレーションで理論的に予測した、潮岬のほぼ真南約200kmに位置する半径100km程度の海山の地形効果、「膠州海山効果」が、実際の黒潮大蛇行の形成時に存在していた可能性が極めて高いことが明らかとなった。
