Research Abstract

ペプチド核酸はDNA・RNAアナログであり、DNAの転写開始部位上流などに塩基配列選択的に結合した場合、DNA二重鎖を解離させ、人工的に転写バルブ形成させ、転写反応を促進することができる。本研究では、(1)ペプチド核酸に新規な可視光応答性アゾベンゼンを搭載し、(2)ペプチド核酸-アゾベンゼン会合体の構造を可視光照射にて制御したり、(3)ペプチド核酸-アゾベンゼン会合体を用いてDNA二重鎖の解離を制御したりする手法を開発した。
