Research Abstract

生態系を理解するに当たって,生態系内のエネルギーの流れを捉えることは本質的であり,生態系の健全性を評価する上で最も有効であると考えられる.また,近年では従来のエネルギーという量だけの考え方ではなくエネルギーの質と量を示すエクセルギー(有効エネルギー)が着目されている.そこで,本研究では生態系の健全性を生態系内でのエクセルギーの利用効率という形で定量的に評価する新しい河川生態環境評価法を開発した.この本評価法を現地河川に適用したところ,見た目には明らかな自然区間の瀬と護岸区間の瀬の生態系の健全性の違いを定量的に評価可能であることがわかった.
