| Research Abstract |
イギリスにおいて、20世紀前半に設立されて、現在まで活動を続けている都市協会について、その設立期を中心に、活動理念や活動実態を文献資料調査によって明らかにした。特に、設立期の都市協会に見られる都市計画そのものの理念や技術を先行的に提示し世論を喚起し、行政を導いていく役割は、現代の協働のまちづくりのあり方にも示唆を与える。
