Research Abstract

ES細胞やiPS細胞を用いた再生医療の実現には、特定の臓器や組織の細胞に分化させる技術の他に、それらの細胞を大量に作り出す技術を開発することが必要である。本研究においては、そのための技術として、分化誘導を行う前段階の胚様体と呼ばれる球状の組織体を大量に調製するための培養容器の開発を行った。その結果、我々の身近に存在する海藻や植物からの抽出物を利用して直径約0.1mmの胚様体を大量に調製する容器を開発することに成功した。
