Research Abstract

MIRは哺乳類ゲノムに1万コピー以上存在するレトロトランスポゾンである。この配列はよく保存されており、何らかの機能を有していると考えられた。そこで、その機能をデコードするタンパク質を同定するため、酵母菌one-hybridスクリーニング系を用いて、この配列に結合するタンパク質をスクリーニングしたところ、ヒストンH2A.Zバリアントおよび機能未知のZnフィンガー・タンパク質を結合因子として同定した。
