Research Abstract |
シロイヌナズナ種子吸水時に胚乳で遺伝子発現制御に関与する小分子RNAの同定を行った。胚乳で特異的に発現する小分子RNAを次世代シーケンス技術により塩基配列決定を行った。その結果、胚乳特異的に発現するAP2転写因子群を認識する既知のmiR172や、アブシジン酸の生合成酵素AtABA2や細胞壁成分の加水分解に関わるエクスパンシン遺伝子をターゲットとする新奇小分子RNA候補が得られた。こうした遺伝子群が胚乳で機能することで種子発芽が制御されていると予想された。
