| Research Abstract |
魚類が淡水や海水の中で体液を人とほぼ同じ組成に保つ仕組みを, エラ, 腎臓, 腸によるイオン輸送の結果として理解することを目標に, トラフグ(ゲノム配列が公開)の近縁種で淡水・海水の両環境で生息できるメフグのイオン輸送体遺伝子を解析した。淡水魚が尿から水を排泄する仕組み, 海水魚が糞からカルシウムを排泄する仕組み, 及び海水魚が尿から硫酸イオンを排泄する仕組みに関わる遺伝子を明らかにした。
