Research Abstract

生物の種分化において重要な生殖隔離が形成される過程やその遺伝的基盤については未だ明らかでない部分が多い。マウスの亜種分化を例に生殖隔離を研究した本研究では、生殖隔離に関わるX 染色体と常染色体上の遺伝子群の詳細なマッピングに成功し、その遺伝的基盤の解明に一歩踏み込むことができた。また、減数分裂期の細胞周期チェックポイント機構が生殖隔離の形成に深く関わっており、このことはマウスのみならず幅広く生物に共通する特徴である可能性がある。
