Research Abstract

アミノペプチダーゼN(APN)は様々な種によく保存されているペプチダーゼである。タンパク質分解の最終段階を担う重要な酵素である。APNは広い基質特異性を持つ。すなわち、基質のN末端が酸性アミノ酸を除く17種類のアミノ酸を認識し、加水分解できるユニークな特徴を持つ。本研究では大腸菌由来酵素をターゲットとして、酵素による反応や基質認識のメカニズムについて酵素活性とX線結晶構造解析を用いて研究をおこなった。
