Research Abstract

熱ショック応答では高温などのストレスにより、熱ショック転写因子(HSF)がπ8P遺伝子の転写を誘導する。HSFは三量体を形成し、標的遺伝子のHSEに結合する。今回の研究により、HSEタイプ1を持つHSPではHSFの三量体形成能を必要とし、タイプ2を持つHSPでは必要でないことが明らかとなった。
また、動脈硬化症の進行に伴い、動脈起始部のHSP25発現が変化した。血漿中も同様の変化を見せたことから、HSP25は粥状動脈硬化症の進行を推定することができる特異的マーカになりうる可能性が考えられた。
