Research Abstract

眼の神経網膜は、未分化な細胞が繰り返し増殖し、視覚機能を発揮するのに十分な細胞数に達すると増殖を停止し、神経細胞のネットワークが構築され、完成する。しかし、細胞数を適切に調節する機構は明らかにされていない。本研究では、多様なタンパク質の活性を制御することの知られているUbc9が、Raxに制御される因子HMGB3と協調して、網膜の未分化な細胞の増殖を調節することを新しく見出した。
