Research Abstract

アジア・太平洋地域の人類集団について、糖尿病・肥満・高脂血症・高血圧症などとの関連が指摘されている遺伝子多型の分布および生物学的意義を調査したところ、太平洋地域の人類集団では、インスリン抵抗性や肥満と関連する遺伝子多型が他の人類集団よりも高頻度で見いだされ、また、モンゴル人やチベット人などの中央アジアの人類集団では、遊牧生活に伴う高脂肪食に適応的であると考えられる遺伝子多型の蓄積が確認された。
