Research Abstract

根寄生雑草ストライガはアフリカを中心とした半乾燥地域で甚大な農業被害をもたらす、病害雑草である。しかし、その寄生の分子機構に関しては未だに知見が乏しく、根本的な解決策は見つかっていない。本研究では、まず、ストライガと宿主の相互作用を理解するために、ストライガを様々な非宿主植物種に接種し、寄生成立の程度を形態学的に観察した。また、ストライガの様々な発育段階・各器官からRNAを抽出し、全長cDNAライブラリーを作製した後、EST解析をおこなった。
