Research Abstract

人工化合物であるポリエチレングリコール(PEG)の有力な分解菌であるSphingomonas属細菌はPEG分解遺伝子をプラスミドにコードしている。このプラスミドは接合伝達で他の菌にも移ることが示唆されているが、その宿主特異性などは明らかではない。本研究ではPEG分解菌が持つプラスミドの環境中での挙動を解析するにあたり基礎的な知見を蓄積し、PEGの完全分解に関わる遺伝子群を明らかにした。
