Research Abstract |
2つの新規環状C35テルペンを発見した。また、環状C35 テルペンが直鎖状C35イソプレノイドの環化によって生合成されることを証明した。そのような証明が成されている天然物は他に例がない。M. chlorophenolicum とM. vanbaalenii から合計5種類のZ型プレニル鎖延長酵素遺伝子を見出した。M. vanbaalenii 由来の2種類は機能解析でき、各々主にC35 とC15 を生産することが判明した。
