Research Abstract	葉や花などの植物の地上部分の組織は、茎頂に存在する一群の幹細胞が増殖、分化することによって形成される。12残基からなるペプチドホルモンMCLV3は、この幹細胞の数を制御することが知られているが、その生産調節機構については明らかになっていない。本研究では非常に生産量の少ないMCLV3を抽出、定量する手法を確立するとともに、MCLV3の前駆体をコードした遺伝子を過剰に発現したカルスが生産するMCLV3を精製し検出、定量することに成功した。
