Research Abstract |
神経突起などの「かたち」の変化は、記憶学習の基盤と考えられている。申請者らは、「かたち」をコントロールするアクチン細胞骨格に結合する性質と、遺伝子を制御する性質の両方を持つ分子群[megakaryoblastic leukemia (MKL)とPhactr]に焦点を当てた研究を行った。神経細胞は、樹状突起と軸索という特徴的なかたちを持っているが、本研究結果から、MKLは主に樹状突起形態を、Phactrは軸索形態をコントロールしている可能性が示唆された。
