Research Abstract

小胞型GABA トランスポーター(vesicular inhibitory amino acid transporter, VIAAT)はシナプス小胞に存在するGABAの能動輸送タンパクであり、GABAシグナルの出力に本質的に重要である。しかしながら、VIAAT分子自体の構造やGABAの輸送機構に関する研究はほとんど進んでいない。私は,昆虫細胞を用いた高発現系から得られる精製VIAATとF-ATPaseをリポソームに再構成することでできるVIAATの輸送活性測定系を応用し,GABA輸送に必須のアミノ酸残基を見出した。
