Research Abstract

ATP産生を阻害する有機スズ化合物(500nM)、および脱共役作用を有する農薬・酸化フェンブタスズ(50nM)による神経細胞死メカニズムを大脳皮質初代培養神経細胞を用いて調べた。その結果、神経細胞死と比較して非常に早い段階からATP減少が認められ、ATP減少により活性化されるAMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK)の活性化が認められた。AMPKを阻害すると神経細胞死が抑制されたことから、AMPKが両物質により惹起される細胞死のメディエーターとなっていることが示唆される。
