Research Abstract

ガレクチンは、ss-galactoshideを認識するレクチンで、卵巣にはgalectin-1とgalectin-3が発現する。本研究では、黄体の退行メカニズムにおけるガレクチンの役割を明らかにし、黄体機能調節因子がガレクチンの発現調節に重要な役割を果たす可能性を示した。また、ガラクトサミン肝炎モデルを用いて、リンパ系組織におけるガレクチンの役割を検討し、galectin-3が肝炎の発症に関与することを見出した。
