Research Abstract

Man1は核膜内膜に局在する蛋白質である。本研究ではMan1欠損マウスを作製し、その異常を観察した結果、欠損マウスは心奇形を高頻度に発症し、妊娠中期に死亡した。この心奇形は、心臓発生に必須な左右軸形成メカニズムの異常、つまりNodalシグナル制御の異常に起因した。以上の研究成果は、Developmental Dynamics誌(2008)に掲載、そして同雑誌のHighlightで紹介された(2009)。
