Research Abstract

一次繊毛は細胞表面から突出する細胞内小器官であるが、そこには650種以上もの蛋白が局在する。Invは内臓逆位とともに嚢胞腎を発症するinvマウスの責任遺伝子産物である。人においては、2型若年性ネフロン癆(NPHP2)の原因遺伝子でもある。我々は、Invがこれまで見出されていなかった一次繊毛基部領域に局在することを発見し、この領域を「Invコンパートメント」と名づけた。また、Invの一次繊毛局在は蛋白内部のアミノ酸領域(C末端側60アミノ酸)により制御されていることを明らかにした。この領域と相互作用する蛋白が一次繊毛への蛋白輸送を担っていると考えられる。
