Research Abstract |
In brown adipocytes, activation of β_3-adrenergic causes mitochondria depolarization that causes Ca^<2+> releases from mitochondria, which further elicit CICR from the ER under the actions of locally produced IP_3. The resultant depletion of Ca^<2+> in the ER activates store-operated Ca^<2+> entry.
