Research Abstract

A170はタンパク質分解経路であるオートファジーや自然免疫、様々なシグナル伝達を調節することが報告されている。我々はA170欠損(KO)マウスを作製したところ、加齢とともに過食に起因する肥満症、メタボリックシンドロームを呈することを発見した。本研究は、KOマウスが肥満を引き起こすメカニズムを解析することを目的とした。その結果、A170は摂食抑制ホルモンであるレプチンの作用に関与した新規な因子であり、その欠損によりレプチン抵抗性による過食が引き起こされることが明らかになった。
