Research Abstract |
内耳蝸牛の内リンパ液は、+80mVの高電位を示す。これは聴覚機能の維持に必須の要素である。以前より、高電位の成立には、上皮組織の血管条を介したカリウム輸送が深く関わると予想されてきたが、そのメカニズムは長年に渡り不明であった。本研究によって、内リンパ液の高電位は、血管条の異なったカリウムチャネルによって発生する2つの拡散電位と電気的隔絶状態により、主に成立することが明らかとなった。
