Research Abstract

末梢組織の損傷・炎症により知覚神経が活性化されると、知覚神経からsubstance P (SP)などの神経ペプチドが遊離され中枢へ痛みを伝えることが知られている。そのため、SPの動態を明らかにすることは疼痛発症メカニズムの解明に重要な役割を果たすと考えられる。本研究では、様々な侵害刺激による脊髄後根神経節(DRG)神経からのSP遊離についてラジオイムノアッセイ法を用いて検討し、さらにSP遊離を制御する分子メカニズムについて明らかにした。したがって、本研究により疼痛に対する新たな治療概念の構築に貢献する可能性が考えられる。
