Research Abstract

細胞が分裂するには、DNAが精緻に複製され、これが均等に分配される必要がある。本研究ではDNA複製因子であるPSF1およびSLD5が、染色体分配を制御し、個体の初期発生に必須であることを明らかとした。また、SLD5遺伝子が未分化細胞に発現することを利用し、癌組織中に存在する細胞分裂活性の高い特殊な癌細胞(癌幹細胞)の可視化を試みた。
