Research Abstract

血管内皮細胞の機能障害は慢性的な炎症や血液凝固の活性化を生じ、炎症性の血管病変の形成から動脈硬化の発症を誘発すると考えられている。本研究では細胞間の結合と情報伝達を行うギャップ結合を構成する蛋白質であるConnexin(Cx)32が内皮細胞の機能に及ぼす影響を解析した。その結果、内皮細胞でのCx32の発現量は炎症時に減少すること、またCx32の減少が内皮細胞での炎症と血液凝固を亢進する可能性を明らかにした。
