Research Abstract

各種培養細胞株中にSP細胞が存在することを発見し、それらが、がん幹細胞様の性質(自己複製能、高い造腫瘍性、治療抵抗性)を有することを確認した。薬剤抵抗性のSP細胞を抗がん剤感受性化させるために、我々のグループがこれまで、抗がん剤多剤耐性克服薬として臨床試験を行ってきた、ABCトランスポーター阻害剤を併用したところ、SP細胞由来の腫瘍にも顕著な腫瘍縮小効果が得られた。さらにSP細胞とnonSP細胞を比較し、発現解析を行った結果、SP細胞に共通して過剰発現する蛋白質および、microRNA を同定した。
