Research Abstract	赤痢菌は宿主へ侵入した後、マクロファージに対してネクロシスに近い形態的特徴を呈する細胞死(pyroptosis)を誘導する。本細胞死誘導の分子機構は未だわかっていない部分が多い。本研究では、赤痢菌が分泌するType IIIエフェクターのうちの1つであるIpaH7.8がipaf inflammasome を活性化させ、pyroptosis を誘導することを明らかにした。
