Research Abstract

我々は肥満や糖尿病の際に見られる高遊離脂肪酸血症と心血管系イベントの発症リスクへの影響を調べるため、種々の基礎的検討を行った。その結果、飽和脂肪酸が心血管系に対して悪影響を及ぼし、さらに脂肪酸触媒酵素であるStearoyl-coA desaturase-1(SCD-1)が飽和脂肪酸の作用に対して保護的に作用することを明らかにした。以上の結果から、高遊離脂肪酸血症の心血管系に対する病態意義と、それに対してSCD-1が予防および治療の重要なターゲットとなることを明らかにした。
