Research Abstract

癌抑制遺伝子p16は様々な悪性腫瘍において失活しており、その類似遺伝子群と併せてINK4ファミリーとよばれている。p16が機能的に失活したヒト大腸癌由来細胞において、分子標的抗癌剤ゲフィチニブ及び新規MEK阻害剤であるJTP-70902が、INK4ファミリーの一員であるp15を誘導して細胞増殖を抑制することを見出した。さらに、アブラナ科植物に含まれるインドール-3-カルビノールと大豆由来成分ゲニステインを組み合わせることにより効率的に細胞死(アポトーシス)を誘導できること、ニガウリの苦み成分の一つククルビタシンBが活性酸素種(ROS)依存的に増殖を抑制することを見出した。
