Research Abstract

1990年と1993年から開始されているコホートにおける、40歳以上70歳未満(調査開始時年齢)の男性を対象とし、コホート内症例対照研究を行った。2004年末までの追跡期間中に前立腺がんを発症した201名とその対照の402名の、コホート研究開始時の血液サンプルについて、血漿中イソフラボン類の値を比較した。その結果、イソフラボンは限局前立腺がんリスクの低下に関連することが示唆された。
