Research Abstract

血清MCP-1は、メタボリック症候群との直接の関連は認められなかったが、メタボリック症候群の構成要素である、脂質異常、特にLDL-コレステロール/HDL-コレステロール比との有意な強い関連が認められることが明らかとなった。また、腎機能および慢性腎臓病との強い関連も明らかとなり、心腎連関を担う血清マーカーとなり得る可能性も示唆された。さらに、動脈硬化の臨床的指標となる頸動脈IMTとの強い関連も認められ、今後、血清MCP-1値と動脈硬化性疾患の発症についてのさらなる研究を進める計画である。
