Research Abstract

細胞表面に存在するABCG2と呼ばれる分子をマーカーとして用いることにより、肝細胞癌においてその一部に高い腫瘍形成能をもつ細胞が存在することが明らかになった。この細胞は、他の細胞と比べて抗癌剤に耐性を示し、遺伝子発現パターンも異なることが明らかになった。肝細胞癌の抗癌剤治療における耐性出現のメカニズムの解明や抗癌剤耐性を克服し得る新しい治療法の開発につながる成果が得られた。
