Research Abstract

膵分泌性トリプシンインヒビター(SPINK1、別名PSTI)は、膵腺房細胞で生成される内因性のトリプシンインヒビターであり、活性化されたトリプシンを速やかに不活化し、生体を防御する安全装置と捉えられている。本研究では本遺伝子変異が膵癌患者で高頻度に認められ、膵癌発生の高危険因子であることを明らかにした。また本邦の主要な変異では血清中のPSTIが異常低値となることが示された。PSTI低値例を拾い上げることにより、膵癌の高危険群を同定できる可能性がある。
