Research Abstract

転写因子GATA-2は造血幹細胞の維持に重要な転写因子である。今回、GATA-2の間葉系細胞における機能を解析した結果、GATA-2の発現抑制により骨髄間葉系細胞が脂肪細胞へ分化することが明らかとなった。これは、GATA-2が骨髄間葉系細胞の未分化性の維持に働いていることを示すものであり、GATA-2が間葉系幹細胞からストローマ細胞への分化制御の一翼を担う重要な転写因子であることを示唆している。
