Research Abstract

マウス低免疫原性悪性黒色腫にIL-23を遺伝子導入した細胞株を用いて、その抗腫瘍効果と腫瘍ワクチン効果におけるTh17と制御性T細胞の関連を、IL-17ノックアウトマウスを用いて検討した結果、Th17の直接的な関連の裏づけはできなかった。これは、IL-23がTh17を誘導するという従来の見解とは違える結果であり、今後の悪性黒色腫およびその他の固形腫瘍に対する、アジュバントとしてのIL-23の抗腫瘍免疫治療に対する重要な知見となりえる。また、同時に抗腫瘍効果を示す、IL-12、IL-21、およびIL-27においてもIL-17ノックアウトマウスを用いて検討した結果、Th17の直接的関与は見られなかった。
