Research Abstract

糖尿病に対する根本的治療である膵島移植の一般化のためには移植効率の向上が必要である.移植膵島の生着率向上のための胃粘膜下注入法の確立と生着膵島の長期機能向上のためのテロメラーゼ遺伝子導入による膵島不死化について研究した.研究の課程で膵島移植効率を向上する生着促進剤を発見した.ラット膵島移植において移植後急性期のエダラボン投与は移植膵島のアポトーシスを抑制して生着促進し、移植後膵島機能を向上した.
